INPI Resolution 364/2024: Status of Foreign Priorities

In order to expedite the examination process of pending patent applications, the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) has issued Resolution 364/2024, whereby applicants who have claimed international priority under Article 4 of the Paris Convention will be required to confirm whether or not such priority has been granted in its country of origin.

The term to answer is 60 calendar days from the date of notice served to such effect through the Patent Notices Bulletin.

Failure to answer to this rewquirement will result in the abandonment of the application.
